Watts & Amps is a music festival fundraiser hosted by Watts of Love, a global solar lighting nonprofit bringing people the power to raise themselves out of the darkness of poverty. We created, organized, and executed the event to raise awareness for their mission. Strategy, positioning, and naming were developed, emphasizing the joint inspirational love of philanthropy and music. Thus, “Watts & Amps” was born. The system combines eclectic, powerful typography that merges a guitar and ampersand. The iconic mark is inspired by the theme of music and light, empowering the audience to “Light up the world.”
